New

A few new designs; doodles and flowers.
When once it seemed that designing was the difficult part of my profession for me, now the difficulty seems to be finding the time to turn ideas into wearable pieces of jewellery.
The idea was to make a statement without the weight, the open construction balanced with gems and pearls. The enjoyment and enhancement of the wearer the ultimate function of my work.
Thank you all for fueling my passion. What fun.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year.

A Friendly Collaboration

Jill Allan and I have collaborated on a new necklace using her fabulous lamp work beads. The beads are on my hand wound sil
k cords with a silk tassel at the bottom. The length is adjustable using the sliding silver clasp. Colour! What a treat. Cool glass, smooth silk.
The first of these pieces will be for sale at Northern Lights Gallery in Thunder Bay. Also at Shiny Fuzzy Muddy in Vancouver this weekend. Check shinyfuzzymuddy.com for details.

Harrowsmith Country Life

Lyle, Fiona, Eric, Marissa and Jenaya Young

Harrowsmith Country Life magazine did a feature article about Cowichan Bay Farm { October 2009 }. The beautiful photos are by Jeffrey Bosdet from Victoria. Check it out at: http://www.harrowsmithcountrylife.ca/current_issue.htm or better yet pick up a copy. A sweet reminder of where I used to live.....and that farm women love pearls. Thank you Jeffrey....and my farm family too.
